ECO Umbrella Set

The Elinchrom ECO Umbrella Set contains two 83cm unbrellas - one silvered and one translucent. With a silver umbrella the light is diffused although there is a defined edge to the reflected light source, so the effect is not quite as soft as the illumination from bouncing flash off a plain white umbrella. However, the light is reflected more efficiently and therefore there is less loss of light. The larger the umbrella the softer the illumination. A translucent umbrella will allow soft, diffused "shoot-through" lighting. It can also be used for bouncing flash off its inside surface - with some light spill-through for additional bouncing off walls or extra reflectors. This kit is an ideal addition to a D-Lite kit giving an alternative to softbox illumination. Elinchrom umbrellas are all made from non-fluorescent UV material and have Elinchrom's unique central shaft design.
